Accomplishments and Challenges: Constitutional:
1. Nixon signed an extension of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 into law, which allowed 18 year olds to be able to vote.
2. The detachment from the U.S. gold standard because of foreign countries being asked to pay in gold not U.S. dollars due to inflation.
3. Nixon vetoed the Comprehensive Child Development Act, which said that single mothers could put their children in a community daycare and join the work force because it sounded like communism.
